Tubes Plug positions on 2S Batteries?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently working out a top deck/battery holder for my FWD Buggy. The design I have is a big plate over the battery. To connect the battery, it will need holes to clear the tubes plugs. I'd like to make sure though that the plate is compatible with all batteries, not just a certain brand...

So I was wondering, are the tubes plugs the same distance apart on all 2S batteries? And if not, how much do they tend do differ? :eh?:

No they are not and they differ up to maybe half the hole width.
Do the holes quite a bit larger if you can. Some lipos are now coming out with double holes and even larger 5-6mm bullet contacts

And if your deck is carbon, make sure you've got loads of clearance. CF is conductive.

Thanks guys :) I knew about the double tubes plugs, but not the bigger ones. I was hoping it'd be the same on all batteries, it would've made the battery holder design a bit easier... now I probably need two battery holders if I don't want a piece of swiss cheese :p
