2wd or 4wd buggy for beginner?

I'm looking predominantly at the dex 210 and 410. Both are available for not dissimilar costs as a kit. Used or new. I also have a wildcard option, a used Yokomo BMAX4 II WN.

The Yoko sounds like a better car. My only reservation with that is that heard it doesn't take as wide an array of parts for it, they are more specific?

As for the choice between the dex 210 or 410 kits, are there any benefits or downsides to either as a beginner?

My assumption, maybe right or wrong. The 2wd will be easier to learn the hobby with and not require as strong a motor (ergo probably less expensive motor). It would also be better to learn driving with?

I know very little about which class is more popular. I want to run indoor and outdoor.

And advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi,

As a beginner you would be better off getting a 2wd as they are easier to drive and generally cost less.

A car that I would recommend is the TeamC TCO2C. It's low cost, strong, extremely easy to drive and parts if you break it are only £3-5.

Here are some links:

I would second the TC02C, the parts are very cheap and the cars are as well. I can't think of any other buggy like it for the price.
