binding

Will any 2.4ghz receiver bind to any transmitter?

I have a code RC transmitter and need a micro receiver but the only one I can find of the same make has the plus in the side which won't suit my layout.

No in most cases, apart from poss those cheep orange ones people are using. but I'm not sure especially with code rc stuff

"No" is the answer. Each make of RC gear has its own individual binding routine within its own individual hardware and software. Use only the receivers supplied by the same manufacturer and shown in their specification to be compatible with your transmitter.

There are limited exceptions to that rule. FRSky make receivers that work with (and only with) the Futaba FASST system, and there are some others in the aircraft arena.

When you buy your radio gear you commit to that manufacturer for all spares and replacements. HTH :)

Great, so basically, if you want a Durango 410 and you want to use the programming card more than once, don't buy Core RC gear cos the receivers are too big.

No, I'm not bitter at all.

It's not particularly a secret that 410s are very tight on space.

Unless you've bought a monster or cheap nasty ESC you should be able to get everything in eventually. Just needs some lateral thought. And time. (Lose the radio tray too, that kills a good bit of space)

Have a look at the show us your durango thread. Should give you some ideas.
FWIW I got a reventon pro, capacitor pack, receiver, bluetooth dongle and transponder into mine........ took the bluetooth out tho as it was a bit tight, and close to the prop.

I'm revention pro too, it will all fit but the receiver will need to go on its side making it difficult to fit and remove the plugs.

I'll add some photos to "show me your" when it's done.
