Schumacher Block Rear Tyre Mounting

Hi all

Could some please clarify how these fit onto the rim properly

I know a few guys at SRCC run these and I can't find any other info about them

On a standard 2.2 size wheel them seem to stretch on the wheel?

Is this right? Or are they for a different size

Thanks

I think they're a 2" not a 2.2" tyre which is why they're tight and you have to stretch them over the rim.

I had a set on my SX3 all summer with no problems. I just put a normal schumi medium insert in them and stretched them over the SX3 wheels and glued them on.

Do you have to cut off the ribs in the centre of the wheel

Rims

I did have to cut the rim off for the kyosho or rather Mr Parr and Evison did.

You can mount them as a normal tyre... But we found that they generated to much grip and they don't fit in the brca box, so thanks to Si we mounted them so the tyre is just over the rim and the tyre is about 5mm narrower. Doing this seems to tack away forward traction and give more side bit..

On the kyosho wheels we had to cut the two inner rimes off we just put the tyres on and glued em. Easy :-)

What block tyres are these please guys?

Are these what you're running indoor on the astro?

Andy we are running theses

Over the spike or minis the blocks offer shed loads of grip and last 4/6 meetings over 1 meeting of the spikes and minis.

Hi Sly,

Thanks for the information. I assume you just run staggers on the front?

I might see if I can get some blocks and come over on Sunday.

sly 08-01-2014 05:32 PM

yeah low pro normal staggers and some use the low pro cut staggers.

Hi Guys,

I've managed to get some of the block tyres, been to the shed, glued them up. Grand job, or so I thought.

Re-reading this thread Tony mentions mounting them narrower so the produce better grip and fit the box. I assume you glue the tyre to the inner rib?

I've hoping to race on Sunday and the turf wars the week after. Is the car not fitting the box going to be a problem?

I hope not or that was an expensive mistake.

Don't worry about the box as its in the clubhouse.
But if you mount them like this its as Tony describes.http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...psklb1jjdf.jpg

Seems as a nice tyre.
I,m driving a DEX410, can I mount these on DEX410 rims, and can I mount the front-tyres?
