Schumacher MI5 Lipo Brace & Pivots
Evening all
I have just recently started racing again after a 4 year break, so last week i built my new MI5, very impressed with the kit, until i came to securing the lipo. i never have liked tape so after a bit of thought i came up with the following brace. ill let the pictures do the talking, all in all its cost me less than £5 to make, if it holds out im going to get a carbon fibre copy made. http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps8a4716cb.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...psddcb2a22.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps7ca6299f.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps325ad7bf.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps9f8f27c7.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps08c37249.jpg and my custom pivot balance bitty bobs, http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...psca069fd1.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps1319b9fa.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...pse6dc7ced.jpg and all ready for my first race day http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps45b5aa02.jpg |
you may find that style will create uneven flex in the chassis, which is the main reason the tape is used.
this is a better design to me http://www.tuninghaus.com/op-mi5.html click the picture for more pictures |
