Newbie Alert.......

Firstly be gentle with me.!
I have been given a Hyper 7.28 Car by a mate as he does not want it anymore.
So I have decided to take it on as a project:confused:
As I have posted I am a total newbie with no knowledge at this at all.

Basically the unit had an argument with a wall so I am informed and it has a fair bit of damage which consist of a chassis that is a little bent,no receiver,no control unit, the body has a little fire damage and one of the front wheels has damage to I think its called a knuckle arm?
so basically I need to know what the best course of action would be?Either send it somewhere to get repaired or buy the parts and then send it to get repaired or should I attempt it myself?
Any help with some information on this will be greatly appreciated.
