I have to say. I have used several of the different manufacturers bb shocks over the last few years. The ae units IMHO are the best for your b44.1. Other manufacturers units are differing in length both overall and stroke. Also the offset of the shock cap vs the tower is differing. The ae units are virtually bolt straight on! There are many setups available out there and there springs are simply the best I have ever used. Really consistent and feel so nice on the car!!
For the sake of an extra £20. Just get the ae units. They are really worth it!!

I put yokomo bb's on mine. Same length, stroke and piston size. £35 quid from end of line rc.

The AE Bigbores do bolt straight onto a B44.1. Additional spacers are supplied in the pack to avoid the caps rubbing on the B44.1's shock towers. Of course if you ever broke the towers and fitted a B44.2 ones you wouldn't need those extra spacers in there now that the .1's towers are an obsolete part.

Danny, yeah they were on EOL, but since then CML have started to distribute Yokomo again they were unfortunately (for the bargain hunting public) back as current stock.

Schumacher big bores work also the purples ones, well they did on the front of a 44.2

My son snapped his so I just used these

I have to say though AE shocks are still the daddy, always have been awsome
