Spektrum DX5E

This might sound like a daft question but can you use the DX5E for cars or is it for planes only?

Think it's for planes. They do a stick that would probably work for cars; http://www.spektrumrc.com/Products/D...rodId=SPMR2200

Don't know if it's any use but a couple of guys at broxtowe club use a dx6 which they have modified but there are two versions mode 1 and mode 2 and it has to be a certain one but can't remember which? They are both on here as dbizzle and nottmboy so it might be worth asking them or searching for a thread on here

If it's 2.4 you can use it for cars but you need to fix the sticks as they have a 4 way axis rather the standard 2 you need for a car.

You need mode 2 as well that means the throttle is on the left as per usual.

Why do you want to get a 5 channel radio though ? If it's the price you can get other reasonable kit for not too much money so maybe better to look at that ?

You can use the DX5E if you want because it's cheaper, but you can change the travel and you also have model memories for example with the DX6I. Now, always choose a M1 because the throttle is on the right stick : it means that you have to connect your esc on the elevator channel in the receiver, and it mainly means that you have the spring for the throttle on the right place (left stick as a car transmitter).
