Center Diff Mount/Upper Plate/Motor Mount problem
Hi guys,
Here is my problem, I've bought these option parts and tried to mount them. But once done, the slipper is just moving as if the ball bearing were not stucked. I run with the Slipper with Durango spur + pads. Could it be the main problem ? Do i Have to shim something ? Thx in advance Franck |
I had this problem on my 4wd car. I fixed it by glueing a little thin plastic on the bearing face of the bolt on top piece (the bit that clamps the slipper bearings in place)
It seems a few parts were made wrong a while back. |
Hi John and thank you for your answer.
Do you think it could be possible to show me your tip with a picture ????:blush: I have to glue this thin plastic part on both side of the "cover" ? http://imageshack.us/a/img407/9734/49ws.jpg What do you think about glueing these places with thick double tape ? That could clamp & glue the bearing ? |
yes, where you have marked your diagram with the red arrows is where i glued some material. I used some lexan from a bodyshell and then sanded it down until it was the perfect size.
I think double sided tape would be too soft. Yes, on both sides of the bearing surface of the plastic. |
Thank you very much John:thumbsup:
I thought I have made a mistake with this order |
