Newer chassis ??
 

Is racing getting faster with every new chassis that comes out.
Wanting to buy a 1/10 chassis but dont have the money for a new car.
But alot of drivers have the top of the range kits at the club.
Like Would a schumcher mi4 cx be as good on the track as the new mi5
Is the older chassis still competitive ??
Who still uses a older car and still does well. ??

Don't worry too much about the chassis, buy what you can afford and what you can get spares for and if its a popular chassis with a decent amount of help and support from other racers at your track then so much the better. Loads of racers always get the newest stuff regardless of whether it makes us faster or not so don't feel the need to get the latest shiniest thing. The Associated TC4 and Schumacher Mi4 are still plenty popular for example.

I race an Xray T3 12 against a couple of Mi 3.5's, 416's and a BD5 they hold there own by being good consistent drivers

From 2010 the cars became pretty much standardised
So anything from 2010 on wards however my t3 12 still uses parts that say t2 008 on the packet
