Massive well done to Tebo on winning his 2nd world championship,
Huge pressure and great racing from Martin,Cragg, both Ryans.

Looking forward to 4wd:thumbsup:

Fingers crossed weather is kind and we get a full quota of qualifying and Finals.

Are you guys are trying to annoy me :p

We have released a special combo with the team Orion Electrics.
Not sure what price will be in the shops yet, we only just sent the offer out to the shops today!!!

Looking at Tebo's setup it looks very much to me like he was running a box stock RB6 other than the flat wishbones and a change of springs / pistons to suit the conditions.

We already have the world championship winning car ... and have had since last year :)

How many other manufactures had "box stock" cars in the A main?

jasonrcb 27-09-2013 11:54 AM

What happened to Elliot Boots,i saw he finished 89th,was expecting him to be right up there with taking TQ at the 8th worlds and guessing he had the same car as Tebo.

Elliott had a couple of issues and unfortunately at that level, even the smallest of mistakes puts you in the lower finals.
Hopefully will do better in 4wd - we all know he is quick enough with the Kyosho cars
:)

jasonrcb 27-09-2013 12:09 PM

Cheers Tony, thought it must be something like that as he certainly is quick

Welshy40 30-09-2013 05:03 PM

Well you can see where they have gone and the car is quality and great news he won. Was Tebos car mid motored and if yes then isnt it the first worlds win for a mm buggy?

Gayo 30-09-2013 08:19 PM

Jared used 3x1.3 and 2x1.6 pistons, AE-style. But do you know if they were tapered or not?

PaulRotheram 30-09-2013 10:25 PM

Is his set up posted somewhere, Gayo?

h0m3sy 01-10-2013 12:04 AM

Here you go Paul

Cheers! very interesting as my current set up isn't a million miles away from that :)

RogerM 03-10-2013 11:28 AM

I don't think anybodies is really, RB6 MM "just works".

Differences to mine are mainly the fact I run 4x1.3 pistons front and rear because of our astroturf tracks ... very similar otherwise

PaulRotheram 04-10-2013 01:13 AM

What I don't get is, how he gets away with running 24/23mm ride height on such high grip.
From UK drivers words who went to the worlds, they described it as having more grip than any UK astro track.
I appreciate the jumps were getting a lot of air, but id never consider running my cars that high.

Gayo 04-10-2013 07:40 AM

Yes, and the use of soft springs (pink and gold)...
Hey, it seems to work

Don't try and copy this ride height. The tyre diameter of the clay tyres is bigger than our mini spike tyres which is the main reason. I wouldn't mind betting that the wishbone angles at rest are close to what we run with our tyres. The geometry won't work if you try and run at 24mm with mini spikes and staggers on.
