Shock o-rings red and blue
Hi
My SV2 kit came with two sets of shock o-rings Blue and Red with a note to say that the the red give a better seal but a little bit tighter on the shaft as opposed to the Blue o-rings. As a solution I used one Blue and one Red o-ring, putting the Red in first then the spacer and then the blue follows by the screw cap. This seems to give a smooth motion and no witness of oil after a days practice. CARB |
I used all blues and the shocks leaked like a tap even with slime. I'm now on AE orings n good so far.

Sorry, didtent see it were on the Schumacher department :/
you can use thees i did for my DEX410v3: http://www.rccarshop.co.uk/index.php...ng-red-10.html i did use them and no signs of oil leak anywhere i also use greenslime all the time. |
I use the 1/8 orange ones Schumacher sell, soaked them overnight in oil before assembly and they have been great since, not even a little sweat of oil.

With my old SX3 the kit came with blue O rings which leaked badly, I was having to top up the shocks during a race day! Nortech Whities cured this though and to be honest I felt absolutely no difference in shock action. The red Schumacher O rings are like the Whities and do not leak, and as far as I know all new kits now only come with the red O rings.

Red are great no leakage and minimal drag
