any 22 2.0 mid setups out there yet?

As above. Does anyone have a starting setup for mid config? Will be using mine for the first time at Worksop so could do with one for fairly low grip really
I would assume that with all the new geometry the old setups go out of the window

This will be the place to find them > http://www.petitrc.com/setup/losi/Se...ntyTwo2.0.html

I've just gone off the old ones and they still work out quite good

Is Worksop astro or carpet?

Cremegg 15-09-2013 10:01 PM

At the moment for astro...I'm running

Front
35wt oil
Blue spring
25 deg kick up with 5 deg blocks
Long camber links
Ride Height 19mm

Rear
27.5wt oil
Yellow LF Springs
2 deg anti squat
Long camber links
LRC 3 deg
Ride Height 19mm
Kit spur
21 pinion

Ran it at Blackpool which is carpet on Saturday and was quite good even though my tires weren't the best and it was setup for astro so it could be a starting point if Worksop is astro

Hope that helps :)

Since the car is not a complete overhaul to the last one, how about starting out with a 22-based setup and working your way to a 'perfect' setup from there? :eh?: The 22 setups can't be completely off, right?

Worksop is a type of cork floor tiles. I'll try one of the old setups as a start and see how it goes. Only asking as Frank root said the old setups do not transfer to the 2.0
We'll see

I think the main issue will be the front geometry as nothing from the front of the V1 will fit with the 2.0 parts. Steering rack, front arms, caster blocks and steering arms will only work together as a package so trying to put a V1 22 setup on it is not going to work the same way it did on the V1. There are fewer changes at the rear but still some that potentially change the way the car works, the rear transmission is raised by ~1mm, hubs, arms and driveshafts are different but you can set the driveshafts to the same position as the V1. The team drivers are running softer on springs with the new low frequency springs so this might be a starting point. Maybe try the Dustin Evans ROAR mid motor set up as a starting point?

ran it for the first time last night on carpet and was really pleased with it.
My tyres werent new but still had plenty of rear grip. It felt really balanced in the end and so predictable. I was a good 0.7 seconds off having the fastest lap but contiuously consistent laps left me finishing 2nd overall.
I ran mini pins on the rear and old school staggers up front and finished on the following setup-
front:-
35wt and blue spring
rest as per kit setup
Rear:-
30wt and pink spring
1mm under inner camber link
rest as per kit setup

Will try the brass 25 degree kickup shim next time to try and eliminate the tiny bit of on power push it had. I was using saddles and no extra weight in the car.
When pushing hard it occasionally wanted to lift the inside rear wheel, may try a shorter rear link next time to solve this too.
Glad i made the purchase, much easier to drive harder than the old 22

left me finishing 2nd overall
