25th august meeting. Flood check?

There has been real heavy rain tonight. Also a fair bit of rain forecast for tomorrow with heavy rain for a couple hours around tea time

Can anyone local to batley check the track out tomorrow evening? I was on route on public transport last time it was flooded, very much appreciated

I will try to get an early update - the better weather is supposed to be tomorrow so let's hope we are good to race!

No flooding as of 11 am Saturday so hopefully will stay that way.

Looks dry here, fingers crossed, im on route :)

DianneH 25-08-2013 07:44 AM

Dry here too Danny - should be no issues with the track.

Where do you travel from on the bus that you have to leave at 8.30 am?

We have so many drivers from varied parts of the region - surely there is someone who lives near and can give you a lift if they are coming to a meeting?

Come on troops - rally round here!!

Danny Harrison 25-08-2013 08:21 AM

Its fine dianne i dont mind the travelling at all. Leave from near the uni in leeds, 30 min or so into town then 45 min journey to cleck. Then a steady stroll :)

DianneH 25-08-2013 08:48 AM

Only Leeds? Crikey - I thought you lived in the back of beyond!

We must have a few drivers from the Leeds area who would could help and who would love you to contribute your bus fare to their fuel and save you some time.

Dewsbury is on a Leeds bus route but don't know whether this would save any time or not. I am only 2.5 miles from the Tingley roundabout so if your Leeds bus came in this direction then you could travel with me from thereon if this would help.

See you soon - setting off in a few minutes!

Yep. Really enjoyed driving a CAT again after 20 odd years ;-) Think I managed to keep out of everyone's way.
