intereference on 27mhz

wotchya :)

does anyone out there in RC land know what causes intereference on 27mhz?

I'm running my mini-z on my loft track to help get back into using sticks - but the interference is horrendous.

I'm using an old-school acoms tranny which is fully charged. the aerial is fully extended

does 240v wiring cause glitching? flourescent lights?

it's a right pain in the arse!

Quite possibly the huge tv antenna residing in the loft that may help that.
Just a stab in the dark there . :D

I am looking into this myself, but I believe the Mini Z does not use a standard AM set.

Airtronics makes an AM module, but the module is able to be used only for Mini-z, so this shows me there is some difference.

I would really like to know what this difference may be though, if any of the smarter chaps wouldn't mind chiming in that would be grand!

I used to get that when local taxis were passing and some TV apparatus upsets things my solution was to use split AM crystals such as red/brown etc. seems to not affect the control then
They are not Acoms crystals but work in the controlers and recievers and can be clipped into the plastic holders for the crystals that Acoms ones come in; hope this helps M8:)
