Modern ball links

I'd like to try the style of ball link that 1:8 cars use, where you put a screw through the ball inside the ball link. Does anyone know of any that fit the existing Losi and AE 1:10 tie rods?

Yes, there are some on the Losi JRX-S. 4-40-sized and compatible with all the ball cups. Got a pack of them at home, hit me up on MSN.

Great! It's not possible to find new ones for sale?

elvo 25-08-2008 12:16 PM

Sure. LPH has them.

 # no?

Any problems with them? Can they do the same angle as the de facto ball cups?

P.S. Did some 1:8 yesterday, first time in a year now. Flat surface = easy to drive! :D

Hi SHY,

And if you're looking for balls with screw going completly through them, have a look on X-Ray TC hardware (I think Brian Kimwald already used them on his X-Factory cars) ;)

Just my two cents

Cheers,

Olivier

Hey!

Good tip! Anyone got part numbers? Webshop?

grelland 26-08-2008 07:09 PM

Hey SHY, if you find some, would you mind add a handful or two for me too, as I have already had some ball cups pop off on my B4...

ttech have those sort of links on the pred as well i think. Hope this helps

You need LOSA6009 & LOSA6017 or for a heavy duty option LOSA6044 ;)

SHY 27-08-2008 07:55 AM

Thx J!

But what's the difference from LOSA6054 / LOSA6017? And LOSA6044 fits 4-40 screws?

I know the Pred has some, but they look a bit too beefy. And might not have enough angle movement?

@Roy: just buy'em off fleabay, easy peasy! (search for part no)
