C4.2
On AE site now: http://www.teamassociated.com/C4.2/
http://www.teamassociated.com/pictur...0/C0060_md.jpg No body shown, and carbon side braces still an option. They didn't stop the old one from bending... I hope they have used a better grade of alloy for the chassis. |
Well spotted Neal....looks interesting but it is rather surprising that they didn't take the opportunity to redesign the chassis, especially as they seem to have done the gearbox, rear hinge pins, battery layout etc.
|
The material used for the C4.2 is much harder then the original C4.1 chassis.
It is also wider towards the front end  But I'm sure people will still bend it if they crash hard enough... |

Anyone know if the new c4.2 rear tower fits a c4,1?
Bust my rear tower but thought i would wait for this if it still fits? |
It won't Nathan. Completely different fitment :)
|
Does anyone know if the recently released C4.1 +8mm chassis is the same as the one in this C4.2 conversion kit?
|
Will a geardiff fit in the moulded gearbox?

..And here I am with my usual question:
Will the C4.1 Bul Dog body fit the C.2 also? Will the undertray fit, maybe after some trimming at the back? |
hi
no, the layout has changed on the chassis width so in short it wont directly fit! it may be made to fit with some trimming but as this is a completly new conversion kit its having its own specific body. |
Greetings from Canada!
Really excited about getting this C4.2 conversion kit, however I'm really not a fan of the cab-forward body styles and since I'm only running on small indoor carpet tracks, any aerodynamic advantages are moot. Is there somewhere I can order online the original "cab-rearward" body for the C4.1? Many Thanks! Mick |

Many Thanks!
