SST AXIS 2

Hi I have a SST AXIS 2. The transmission seems very stiff even without a motor. Has anyone experienced this issue? can anyone advise the best way to improve this. I'm thinking bearings and belt replacement at the mo.
I have read that the transmission is more stiff than the modern stuff.

Any help be most appreciated.

Cheers

Mike

remove the belt and try to spin the diffs. You need to trace if its coming from the bearings or the tightness of the belts.

i would remove the belts as stated, then the diffs one at a time, the axis 2 has the adjustable turnbuckle top deck, i have seen people over adjust these, take the wheels off and put it on a flat surface to make sure it's not bowed

this might help as well

Cheers for the advice. without the belts its seems Ok. definitely had the top deck set to tight. Made a big difference with an adjustment!
