Flashing cells

How safe is it to do accross a 12v? I have 3 cells dead in a pack (yes my fault :() Can i do them singley but whilst soldered up?

Depends what cells they are. We used to get away with this on NiCads, but they were built like brick outhouses compared to today's cells. If they're IBs, then the local recycling place is their best destination - I wouldn't trust them anywhere near a 12v without a good charger connected in between!

Don't know about EP or EnerG cells, but then again they don't usually die that easily. HTH :)

Their EnerG's. I havent raced for about two months haha, just been in a cupboard forgot about.

That is exactly what happened to a couple of intellect packs i have. I didnt have the money to replace them so i thought i will bring these cells back from the dead even if it kill me :D. So i put them on my pit bull charger and charged them until it stopped about 150 mah then i force charged it until a reasonable level, then i equalised on my Much more CTX Discharger. I ended up doing this for about 3 days for them not to be force charged anymore and now all the voltages seem to about the same, just how they should be. And have run them and they are back up to performance. But if you dont have the time to try this and you have the money then i would recomend cycling through the good cells, to keep them up and running, and just replace the dogy cells.:)
