Motor/ESC/Lipo/Trans advice

Hi Guys

Its been 20 years but Ive just ordered a DEX210 to see if I want to get back into things. Im way out of touch with things so on the lack of reviews etc I thought id ask some advice here.

Motor & ESC:
Ive seen cheap Turnigy items at Hobbyking and as I don't want to go overboard I did see a 9T Brushless motor and a 60a ESC for decent prices. What is the overall opinion of these? I assume you get what you pay for as usual, but would these items suffice for a while just messing about?

Lipo:
Seen some 7.4v 6000mah hardcase Lipos which seem to be ok, am I on the right track here? Also, as for a charger, is the Core RC UAC50 a decent all-rounder?

Transmitter:
Im normally a fan of the 2 sticks but it appears the kids these days love the triggers :) Ive seen a few Flysky 2.4ghz that look great for the money. Anything I should be aware of or is it a relatively safe bet?

Sorry for the general questions guys, but I think I'm going to end up buying some cheaper gear to learn quickly if you know what I mean :)

Any advice really appreciated
