XXXCR

hi, i just got a used xxxcr.

what parts should i order as spares, and does anyone have any links to places to get spares from?.

also, what pitch gearing do they use?

cheers Luke.

dms racing will have all the spares you need, i'd suggest front wishbones, hubs, bulkhead etc
you would would have to tell us what motor your using to tell you what gearing to use most people use the standard 81t spur i think

i havent got the car yet, tomorrow i will probably be getting it.

i will probably be running a novak GTB 5.5T system in it.

at 100% the 5.5 needs to be running about 11:1 according to novak.

is this correct ?

if it is, what pinion and spur would i need ?

thanks

i'd recommend a 19 or 20t pinion depending on the track with the standard 81t spur if its a sintered rotor, think a 5.5 in 2wd is abit quick though! i'd consider using a 6.5 or 7.5 if I were you

7.5 it'll be then, because my supplier has the system for £125 before delivery :)

so 7.5 will be about a 9.5:1 ratio, the track is a tight indoor carpet one.

Ok spares

Rear pivot block, rear shock tower, front wishbones maybe front caster blocks, rear hubs.

Gearing the cr doesnt come with a 81t spur std it comes with a kevlar 78t which is 48dp.

setupy bit

recomened springs
rear
red /pink

front
blue / black

30wt rear oil 35/40 wt front

I would recomend upgrading the really long rear ballstuds in the rear hubs to titanium if there not already as they do snap as you need the ball stud as high as possible.

I would also recomend the high downforce front wing aswell you can get everything you need from www.dms-racing.com

what pinion should i use with the 78t spur ?

also, what tyres should i use?

cheers

schumacher yellow minipins front and rear for indoor carpet tracks 23 or 24t pinion on 78 spur for a 7.5 i'd say

I bought mine second hand too, love the car so far and plenty of good advice there, I went for 6.5 after considering 5.5 and glad i didn't go that hot, with hindsight 7.5 would have probably been the best all round as I have problems with wheelieing quite a bit. Mine came with a load of spares but so far no problems, I'd get some wishbones though if you're as clumsy as me!

Also, a bit of balast at the front may be useful too and maybe the heavier metal front pivot block.

Cheers

Chris

thanks for the advice,

it's already got weights in the front

change the steel ballstuds in the rearhubs to associated or similar, its the only thing i have broken this year on the xxx´cr. i have just replaced wishbones hubs because of wear and et.c

rcluke 10-09-2008 11:10 AM

have you got a link to them mate ?

ottoswe 10-09-2008 11:28 AM

http://www.losipartshouse.com/servle...2C-10MM/Detail

they are the ones, they are a bit stronger than original black losi ballstuds. and i use losi shock spacers instead of the gold shim, better to lose one plastic spacer than three gold spacers. :)
