Just saw it... Considering my current (lack of) 2WD driving skills, the total price of all items and the age of my kit, I converted my buggy back into the old non-MR version and put it on the shelf. Maybe I'll get the Worlds Edition or however the next kit with all the goodies will be called when it will be available later this or early next year - such kits are a Yokomo tradition... ;)

All shops who are carrying Yokomo are able to pre-order. In the UK there are more and more shops selling Yokomo, DMS and MBModels for example.

Yep, CML have got all the new bits on order, just waiting for Yokomo to get their stock in then we'll have them sent over.

Does anyone have any feedback on the alloy chassis yet?

How does it compare handling-wise to the kit chassis?

Makes the car a lot stiffer. Ideal for indoor or high grip situations.

I drive on a partial slippy track and I prefer the original chassis, I've tested the alu chassis, but i lost flex, which resulted in less grip. Indoor season starts soon so I will test the alu and carbon chassis.

The happy medium is the plastic chassis with the carbon battery brace seems spot on to me . The car seems to have a lot of grip still and has a more direct feel whereas before it felt numb.

With the alloy chassis on my car not rilly noticed any drop in grip but the response of the car has got faster all good for me

Ran the alloy chassis for the first time last night and it was amazingly good. It still has loads of traction and grip but the best bit is how much sharper the steering is. The change of direction is excellent as well, the car is definitely more nimble.

Anyone thinking about buying one just get it you won't be disappointed. :thumbsup:

What track surface are you running on?

Track: Indoor Damp Clay Med-High traction
Configuration: Rear motor/ Shorty pack

Amazingly good. I tested the car first with the plastic chassis and carbon battery brace, then the aluminum chassis and stock battery retainer and finally settling with the alloy chassis and carbon battery brace.

I've improved my fast lap 0.3sec. I recommend it for sure regardless of traction levels. I also noticed a sizable difference from using the carbon battery brace. I'm going to try mid motor this weekend again with the alloy chassis.

Carpet and varnished cork. The mechanical grip the car has means it'll work on any surface. It's not completely rigid there's still a small amount of flex but mainly at the front end.

You won't be disappointed. :thumbsup:

So the carbon brace a recommended option?

Definitely worked better for me.

I finally got to running my alloy chassis and carbon brace on my car indoors today. I must say how shocked I was at how much better the car felt. No detectable loss of rear grip, had tons of it, but steering was very positive.
I kept everything else the same as i had been running, just swapped out the chassis and fitted the carbon brace. Yes they are stiffer, but there is still some slight chassis flex, just the right amount I'd say. its really tightened the car up. Very happy.

Stick a gear diff in it and it gets even better. :thumbsup:
