Dualsky or LRP speedo ?

Guys,

Your opinions please on these 2 brands as I am close to ordering the new dualsky XC870TF for 1/10th 2wd and 4wd buggies, but should I be considering the LRP top end of the range speedo ?

How about the Nosram Comet HD, same as LRP but a little cheaper.

I've had DualSky speedo and motor for around 6 months now and get on great with them. Even have the 870 too as upgraded to this 3months ago fom the 550.

Easy to set-up on your lap-top or programme card, no issues.

Can't give a comparison to the LRP as never run them, but would recommend DualSky definitely

Both from SMD and brilliant service, Not run lrp for a few years but agree with above re dualsky, awsome kit, and recently done good in the euros off road.

Iv never run dulsky but im sure its good,
i run the flow and its much smoother than the one before,
No need for a laptop, you can load different profiles onto it to get more fine tuning if you want,if you are running it in 4wd you load the profile on once, then set it how you want it track side with no need for a laptop,
The flow has just won the 4wd Euro's :)

I've never ran a Dualsky so can't comment.

The LRP flow is an excellent piece of kit. Very smooth, easy to setup and no laptop required

And the ETS:

"This is something like a short summary of a remarkable race weekend. The sixth and final round of the 2012/13 Euro Touring Series was held at the Hudy Race Arena in Trencin / Slovakia. The event saw a reigning champion in unbeatable shape. Ronald Völker secured his third title in a row at the most competitive touring car series in the world. He now heads the ETS hall of fame ahead of acting World Champion Jilles Groskamp (2 titles) and Marc Rheinard (1)."

LRP Flow + X20

This is the combo I also use in my 511 and it's very, very good.

To point out you don't need a laptop to programme the Dualsky..

Indeed, if you buy the program card rather than the USB link.

Just got a Dualsky 870 for son but it's still waiting to be soldered in so can't comment on how good it is yet.
Looks the part with it's full alloy case
It is to replace his old (but still going strong) Novak GTB!!

I havent run the dualsky but they look good.

LRP.. I stay away from them as with the previous esc BEC and lack of support I received (others may have gotten good support), I just dont use any of their products.

I would try a flow as they might have sorted the problems but only borrow one ,wouldn't want to pay for it just to try one.

Totally agree with this comment.
Great esc and products from lrp but their customer service is shocking.
I had three SXX V2's all had faults and all ended up in the bin due to their known bec issues.

Wouldn't even try one if I was offered one for free.
Once bitten and all that.

Such a shame you had problems, they are usually very good,as are most these days,
They did sort out the problem they had and they are now very solid :)
