dex 410 v3 servo's

Hi there I'm thinking of getting a 410v3. I was wondering if you can use a standard size servo or if you have to use a low profile ?

What make servos you guys runing ?

Thanks Steve

The servo is a standard size one mounted in reverse so to speak.

I've used a futaba and currently got the blue highest one in there at the mo. It's quite a heavy car, so I'd not skimp on the servo! (Metal gears as a minimum!)

Its worth fitting the servo as low as you can in the mount (do it on a flat surface) so the servo saver misses the top of the servo.
There is actually enough slack in the mount/servo mounting holes to allow a clash between the servo and the saver.

Hi steve,

I am currently running a Savox 1258 standard size servo in my 410v3.

I have not run a low profile servo myself in it.

There's plenty of room for a standard size servo.

I wouldn't run a low profile servo myself as you will prob end up breaking it.

Yeah, that's what I now run.
I stuck a low profile servo in it for a while to try and shift the weight balance back a bit. But I think the low profile didn't produce enough torque.... it struggled to recentre quickly and accurately when applying lots of throttle..... noticable difference when I changed back to the higher torque full size servo.

Since the DEX410 came out I have run the KO 2413 servo. It's a nice low profile servo that has a nice balance of speed and enough torque for 1/10th off road.
I've also got a KO RS One-10, this also is perfectly adequate for the job, it's just a little newer than the 2413.
