he can have fun with metal detectors at airports and special places now.... cool... does he get to keep the screws and plates after?

looks like the doc did a good job grant. hope he recovers quickly and is allowed back out to play soon

I think Mike should tell everyone it was an old sports injury! Much better then a slip on wet Astro! Now we just need some ideas on how it happened! Motocross, football, sky diving...

That looks like my leg after my first attempt at snowboarding, minus the two screws for the ligaments :)

Get some frozen peas! Miles better than the coolpacks you get from the doctors. Metal detectors only seldom find the stuff because it is usually non-magnetic titanium-alloy. Might be worth saving for some very custom RC bits later ;)
Hand-held scanners tend to pick the metal up though and I've had plenty of fun at airports when the guy got jumpy because he thought I had something strapped to my ankle...
