Looking for some advice

I have a durango 210 rtr which I am racing on a weekly basis (3 heats and final) at my local track on astro. I a new to the rc world but wondered what maintenance you recommend including what to do and how often.

I.e. how often do you change the shock oil etc.

Only thing I have changed so far are tyres :)

well im a little ocd with maintenance and i was doing the same running as you and and i would change the shock oil and diff oil for every meeting and check bearings every so often and after every 2 or 3 meetings i changed the gearbox on the 210 as i didnt want it to get distorted to keep everything free!

I do shocks about once every 3 or 4 weeks (sooner if i want to change the oil weight) or notice excessive oil on the shafts, if i open them during normal maintenance they are always still full and fairly clean. Usually refill the diff at about the same interval, earlier if i notice oil seeping out/odd behaviour. That's usually quite dirty, but it never appears to have lost a huge amount of oil.

Gearbox is still original, so that will be nearly a year old. I just have a look see and a clean + fresh grease every time i change diff oil. It's still as smooth as the brand new 210 i bought 4 weeks ago.

During the winter with my 210, I didn't really do any maintenance such as change shock oil, rebuild diff, re grease driveshafts etc...

all I did was give it a brush down checking for broken/worn parts after each meeting and replace where needed, it was often not needed to do anything to than brush it down.

i actually do very little maintenance.
I'll brush it down to clear away dust and dirt, wipe around the shock pistons to ensure no dirt accumulates around shock bottom.

check and make sure theres noting obvious broken

only ever change shock oil if I need to adjust the oil or if I notice the lvl has dropped slightly.

some manufacturers do shock maintenance kits with new o rings and seals etc, but dont think TD have released one yet.
be good if they did one with slightly better o-rings as the kit standard for the 210 o-rings for some are quite leaky.
