APEX GP 2013

For the third year running SHRCCC will be running the Apex GP in September 2013.

After speaking to club and committee members this meeting will be run in line to the popular USA 'Reedy Style' Format! This is a big grand plan and it will take a lot of running but I think it will be awesome!

So no round by round qualifying, no finals, just 6 or 7 races for all that are ALL FINALS for points! This means the normal club driver would be head to head and racing with some of the regions or nations top F1/F2 drivers in all their races!!! More details to follow.

We hope to announce some major sponsors shortly and other events yet to be finalised. However I can confirm a repeat of last years popular and crowd pleasing 'Tamiya Big Wheel' race and the return of the original 'Buddy Race'!!!!

Full details will be added as soon as they are finalised and decided on, including online booking in.

Lets hope it's as great as last years meeting and the weather is equally generous!

September is rammed for 1/10th as it is. F2's 1/9, F3,4,5 15/9 and another being meeting planned for the 22 & 23/9 down south.

Doesn't leave much free.

1 x 10 Truck Short Course Truck Class has been added to the agenda!

I'll be in New York City mush. Shame, woulda liked to have excorcised my demons from my last visit, and if I coulda used my stadium truck even better. Shame, oh well.:thumbdown:

So what classes as a tamiya big wheel then ? It is along the lines of old lunchboxs and stuff like that ?

The ball is rolling on the planning for the event. Booking in will open 1st August and limited spares in 2wd.

Prizes being donated as well for the prize fund!

Pleased to announce that Rudebits will be sponsoring the good natured and fun buddy race at this years Apex GP!

They'll be no Hatton brothers this year so could Tony Evdoka and Kev Lee go one stage better and win their own sponsored event!
