Can anyone help me with some release dates for:

Tekin 410k
Novak 410-M5
Novak 410-M1c
Futaba 112B

The first 3 are approx 1992.

Tekin 410k 1992-
Novak 410-M5 1992-1995
Novak 410-M1c 1990-1994
Futaba 112B 1985-1992

The M5 appeared shortly after the M1C (cheaper version). I had a M1C on my ProCat so it must be 91-92.

112B I would say 88 or 89, I wanted one of those for my Mid.

There's been a couple of 410k's on eBay recently . I wanted one for my cat 2000 as in the day they were the bee's knee's , I've since read up on
Them and apparently they don't like to be bashed around too much . And at £39 and £45 untested its a risk I wasn't willing to take . Would look good on a shelf queen though

I saw them. You're right, untested is an issue. I did tell the seller to test em but no luck yet.

Not totally true. My 410k got used from when it got released to 2000 and i abused it. Ok it worked better when cold as touching the pad when hot could kill it but mine worked faultlessly with a Corally 10D geared at 10.1 in my Lazer. I had three Scotkey diodes soldered onto the motor endbell and amps set at 100 continuous.

Yeah, they weren't the most robust ESCs in the world. A competitor in the 90s got a 410K, wasn't long before we discovered that hitting the side of his buggy would switch his 410K off.

If the ebay seller just connected them up to make sure they work, and a more reasonable starting price, he would have no problem shifting them.

Terry just reminded me, i left mine switched on and just unplugged the battery as it was an issue and could either kill the esc or in some instances just switch off. Tekin USA would try to repair it if you Send to them if you have one or you could pass onto an electrical specialist who should be able to repair if they can locate the parts. Its not that complex compared to the brushless esc's.
