H2 hybrid

Hello

I recently treated myself to one of these little beauty's but I have been reading mixed threads on what to change and who's parts fit what.
I was wondering if anyone has a list of the main parts that are best exchanged for the ones that come with the pro kit? Ie losi rear hubs etc

Just so I can go buy the parts and swap before I start racing next month.

Many thanks

Ps. This car is a bargain!

a friend of mine has one and his drive shaft broke and he phoned a supplier i think and asked about new ones and they said it was a known week point on some early kits so supplied him upgraded ones free of charge i can try and find out who he spoke to and pm info

Run it as it is first.
The only change should be springs (the kit ones are junk).
Either Losi or Ae big bore ones.

If you've got a kit with the early style driveshafts, they will at some point break. Keep the receipt, and e-mail CML when it happens. More than likelly they will replace them with the new style ones for you.

Once you've run it, you'll find out what, if anything, breaks and can consider what needs changing for your driving, for either uprate or alternative parts.

Is there a to tell whether the kit you've bought has the new driveshafts included, especially if you didn't already have the old type to compare to ?

The hex pins on the new style are 1.5mm dis, the old style ones are 2mm.
Measure up/ compare to others you've got.

Charlesk it was the spare you had that I purchased from you recently, was that a new kit or old one?

Cheers for the tips all.

No idea I'm afraid, never looked at the cvds in that kit.
Age wise it's bang on the transition as well.
Easiest way is ti measure up a pin.

Just measured the pin diameter and I am sure it's 1.5m but when I measure dia in hex pin hole that was 2m so reckon there the old ones doh!

I had the problem with the drive shafts snapping
I replaced them with Losi 22 shafts and (touch wood) they have been fine since.
The only other things that I have changed are the springs because, as commented on earlier, the kit ones are a bit rubbish, and I have switched the rear hex's to the slightly wider losi aluminium ones.
The car works a treat...I would agree with the other contributors, don't make changes for the sake of it (apart from the springs), wait until something breaks then change it, because out of the box the car is really good...especially if you are like me and coming back to the sport after about 22 years away from buggy racing.

22 driveshafts
22 steering knuckles as weve broke loads indoors but took ages to break kit ones.
22 3deg caster blocks make car more balanced
22 front arms also fit but shock length needs extending
22 rear hubs were latest addition as i had them and no h2 spares work really well.

I strongly reccomened speaking to either,

Ben Jemison ( Ben on here )
Or
Keith Robertson ( KRob on here )

Keith & Ben have both been running the car and have both had very respectful results at the last 4 BRCA 1/10th Nationals.
