Thanks jaydits

They are amazing, did you do them? I would not mind getting mine done
|
Thanks grovenik. Yes i did them myself. i just did it for something to do with a bit of spare time but i could do them for others in the future.
|
They look fantastic, any of those would have taken months to paint !
How does it hold up compared to having paint on the inside ? |
Sorry. Havnt been on for a while. Yeah they hold up pretty well. The vinyl
Is quite thick so really stiffens up the shell more as we'll. the good thing about It is that if any of it starts to lift then just a quick blast with a hair dryer and it Sticks back down again. |
They look really nice!
Presumably if tarnished scratched etc but the shell itself is in good nick it could be removed and replaced? How did you go about moulding it round the 3d shape of the shell did you make a lot of cuts or does it stretch a bit if heated, can't see any joins! |
Looks mint. Top job
|
Thanks guys.
The only cut line is around the roof vent area as there's a lot of sharp Creases but other than that it's just a case of heating it up and stretching It about. Some of the vinyls are thicker than others so some I use a heat Gun on and some only require a hair dryer. |
they look the b:Dll:Dcks mate!
|
Cheers
