New to SS need help :)

Hi All,

Well I am an x 1/8th nitro off roader and have got the bug the 12th after seeing the superstox the other evening and would like some help if possible please,

The club I will be going to seem to be running 21.5 motors with Lipo 2s, eventually I would think I will attend some comps and travel around as I did in the past, I have read that most are running 13.5's with 1s Lipos?

Which is the best way to go? as I see I can still get the Chassis to take the 1s or 2s as I can get the shorty hard case batteries so I wouldn't need the chasses which takes saddle packs I take it?

will go the brushless route for motors etc but still I think I just need a little help to I don't make any mistakes etc,

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Chris

You can get the saddle chassis version and use half a saddle or run a standard 1S down one side for 1S 13.5.

if you are thinking about doing some of the national meetings go for the 1s chassis you should still be competetive at your local club against 2s 21t as they are about the same speed and dont think anyone runs 2s at national level plus you can keep the weight down with 1s

Thunder Power 13.5 motor, any good 5000mAh+ 50C+ cells, and a HobbyWing 1S ESC.

Check the motor is on the BRCA list if you are planning on racing at comps ... like wise with the Lipo.

IP 6600 80C cells are good... Motors - I rate Team Powers Range.

If budget is key ... then check PACE45 esc, its nothing special but does what it says on the tin - good for beginners.

TIC Racing (mardavespares) has the 2S Saddle SS for a great price at the moment:
