Li-po balance lead ?

Hi all. First off the only li-po,s I have ever used have had a balance jst come from the battery with all the wires going into the batt at the same spot, for this dex 210 I have a turnigy 4.2 shorty and there is the +/- wires on the top at the end with the balance plug right in the center where the battery securing strap goes so is it ok to run the car without that balance lead plugged in the batt.

Hi
The balance lead in the centre is for balance charging only, you run the car with just the positive and negative connected
when charging you usually have a special lead that has pos,neg and the small balance plug aswell :)

Thanks mate i didn't think it did but needed to confirm. Now i have a red flashing light on my esc even though the battery is fully charged.

Blinky mode?

It'll probably have a full run down of all the light combinations in the manual.

Hi. All it says in the rtr manual is if the red light is flashing it is low drive voltage and no mention of a blinky mode anywhere ? also the speed passion manual I down loaded says red flashing light means low drive voltage on all models ( except for stock club race model where the red light flashes in normal running) which is the one in the rtr so the Durango manual and the speed passion manual both say the opposite ?????? I just don't know. If you have one of these what does yours do.

If the red light flashing means low voltage then it would not work
it flashes after it has shut down to tell you the reason why
blinky mode, is the firmware that may or may not be installed on
the rtr esc, of that im not sure
if it still runs with the light flashing then it must be blinky surely

Ok thanks mate, it must be blinky mode as it has full power and all works normal so I will regard it as ok and the manual as sketchy on details unless someone says otherwise.:)
