Fwd/reverse trouble RS pro

Hi guys,

Almost at the end of my DEX410 build and I've ran into a slight problem.

I'm using the Dx3s radio and RS pro censored brushless system. The problem I have is when i first hooked it up i had to switch forward and reverse because it was backwards. After doing so forward now is noticeably slower than reverse. Can someone please help.

now that youve switched forward/ reverse you need to re calibrate the speedo to the esc again like when you first set it up.

Tried that also, so switched to rev on handset, start calibration on rs pro, hold for 3 secs, then go full throttle but it doesnt register it, doing my head in

Its like the Tekin system is setup to go the opposite way the durango is made?? if that makes sense..

Also, the LED's on the esc come from right-left under throttle, which is the opposite in the manual, which says throttle should be from left-right.

Also some have suggested swapping motor wires??

please help.

someone correct me if im wrong but swapping wires is for unsensored motors i thought but it does do the trick on unsensored

switch it on controller and set up using radio calibration. if motor spins in wrong direction just change motor direction in pit tune or on pc. motor wires must go A-A B-B C-C on a sensored system

Damn i dont have link software for my rs pro.. looks like another 2 wks before driving this thing. Dont know why others havnt had the same problem on dex410's running the same esc.

Read also you couldnt swap wires on a sensored system.

This has really got to me, argh!

Just a thought here I don't know the 410 well as I'm strictly a 2wd runner now but you have got the diffs fitted the correct way around? The 410 is shaft drive I presume and if you have the diffs the opposite way to the the instructions on shaft drive it will go in reverse.

is there not a way to do it with the pit tune? on the speedo.....been a while since i had too. ill have a look now

This

Its a common mistake nearly every new 410 owner makes

No. They fit in both ways round. You need the heads of the bolts down

Durango_Crazy_Mango 02-06-2013 11:26 AM

Hahaha YES! you have made my day

Thanks to everyone who helped! Owe you's a beer when in Western Australia.

Just took it for a lap, stoked.
