Sphere TC Spec Warranty
 

Can anyone help me please.

I've had a Sphere TC Spec for over a year and been running it in my 2wd 1/10th buggy without issue. However recently it started twitching the throttle whilst steering in the later parts of a 5 min race.

I've taken it out of that car and fitted it to another so all of the other components were changed but it's still doing it so I know it's the speedo.
I then noticed that one of the fan blades was missing and thought the vibration caused by an unbalanced fan could be effecting it so I cut the cable to the fan and removed it, as there is no plug.

My question is if i send it off for a warranty claim will it just get refused because i've cut the fan off?

No but you would have to pay for a switch or fan and labour id say

If they replaced you pay that bit of it id say

There pretty good so dout they will refuse

The only problem with warranty claims is that you will need your original receipt ! SMD, like a lot of retailers, operate a " no receipt no claim " system.... I had a Sphere tc that went faulty , but it was some three years old, and, of course, my receipt was long lost so SMD would not take it back....
