Battery for DEX210

Hi

Looking for some advice......

Buying a DEX210 RTR today but wondered what would be the best battery to buy for this car. Just starting the world of RC racing so appreciate any advice on what battery would be best on a tight budget

Thanks

either stick, saddles or shorty will fit fine in the 210. the shorty will give a few additional tunning options in terms of battery placement and weight distribution.
but saddles will allow you to use those same packs in a 4wd later on should you wish to move over

myself and another lad at my local club use saddles in our 210's

Used to run a stick pack but it gives the DEX210 a lot of forward weight. Now running a shorty towards the back and the cars great, would recommend!

Like stick and saddlepack best on low to medium grip dirt/clay.
With the shorty I think the car was to light. Not enough rear grip or wheelies if I moved the battery in the chassis.

I'm running the shorty but lead underneath it to bring it up to the same weight as a standard pack, just have that tunability of being able to move it. Haven't moved it since positioning it to the back though as the car just works so much better everywhere!

+1 for the shorty option

I run a Vampire shorty after intially running stick packs. Prefer the feel with the shorty, although I don't add weight as standard underneath, just take the weight saving most of the time.

Also looking at batteries for the 210 - Notice that the lipos have different voltage - 3.7v, 7.2v and so on. Sorry for the basic question but is there a requirement to run a certainly voltage i.e they always have to be 7.2 or above?

cheers

You want a 2S (2 cell) battery pack, dex210 can take full size stick, shorty size or saddle packs end to end with a connecting wire.

Only thing you need to worry about is BRCA approved list if you want to do BRCA 'proper' events

2s (2 Cell) is 7.4v for the record
