Teeside Regional - access to park - times etc please

What time can we get there on Friday from? When are they doing track build?

Also what time do the gates close Friday night and open on the Saturday morning or will they be left open all night?

Was going to drop caravan & stuff off on the Friday, come back home for work at tea time then come back to Preston Park straight from work on Friday night but that means me getting there about 3/4am (yes I'll be quiet) so wondering if access will be ok at that time? Rather than turn up at 6am, fight on getting stuff set up and have no sleep.

If noone knows for DEFINATE (don't want to drive 30 odd miles and have to drive back) on here could you please give me contact details of someone who will. I was told people are planning going to a night club on the Friday night so suppose they would need to be back in too.

Thanks :D

TS18 3RH is the postcode, if you search on yell.com for what type of thing you're looking for, there is quite a lot within a few miles.

Thanks, will wait and see what response I get from those in charge before deciding for definate as if that's the case don't think I'll be able to do Teeside.

Didn't think it'd be within H&S rules to lock gates when people are staying overnight incase emergency access is needed :eh?: unless they are just closed rather than locked. People were arriving at York from about 6am, maybe earlier, so surely they'll need to be open pretty early aswell.

Fingers crossed someone knows what's happening :D

Hi Pete
Sorry matey but the gates do get locked at a certain time and someone will have the keys, like durham regional, it just stops unwanted guest entering, as for someone opening the gates up for you at 3/4am, i dont think people would still be up at that time,
id like to say i would open it up for you but i dont know if i would be back from the town at that time,
if you did want to try just on the off chance that i may be back then i can give you my mobile number to try,
Sorry i cant be anymore help than that matey

Hi
As Gary said, the gates are locked but we do have the key. I have been told that you can access the park on foot (when gates are locked) but not sure. I will go over to the park in the morning to check for definate for you.

We are at the park on friday from around 10am setting up.

I have ordered catering who will be open from around 7-45am saturday morning for breakfast, they will also be doing the usual, cumberland sausage, burgers, hot dogs, chips, tea, coffee etc etc etc ( they said that it is all branded stuff and no cheap rubbish)

Portable toilets are ordered, mens and ladies!! We also have the use of preston parks toilets.

We are hoping for a great weekend, AND GOOD WEATHER TOO!!! FINGERS CROSSED

Will post back on here tomorrow after work to let you all know about park:D

Yes, catering all day saturday and sunday...Went to preston park tonight and there is a pedestrian gate either side of the main gates. I am still unsure as to whether they lock these also....BUT....I checked it out and you can get in by jumping over the wall....its only about 4 foot high...so you could leave yr car at the gate, jump the wall (if small gate is locked) then collect car when gates open around 6am:thumbsup:

I will probably nip down on the Friday depending on weather to help set the track up if it is needed, but if you are riding a Mountain bike in terrential rain it can be quite off putting so fingers crossed, there will be nice weather. :)
