Works '91 project.
Bought this the other week for a great price, was sold as VGC and she really is, with just a few bits i want to do, as well as a full tear down.
Still not 100% ill keep her as im a 94 nut at heart, but if i can get enough spares to run her, maybe so, will start the rebuild in the next week or so. bests.......lee http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps1d273a00.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...psa4c17694.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps58093a9a.jpg |
Cracking Yoke Lee. May i ask how you sourced the foams? Are they 1/8 onroad donuts cut and sanded down?
|
Well i think the foams in shot are Parma greens, Pan donuts i just cut one end off and rounded in a drill.
I do use Contact foams though, there brilliant, fit a buggy rim perfect too, bag a set and try them, again, you can just chamfer the sidewall in the drill! Lee |
Cheers Lee. Do you have a link for the Contacts? What sort of shore rating etc?
|
Ill have a look mate, but I'm sure there distributed via Schumacher....trying to think where i bought mine though lol.
Shore, again, ill have to recheck but I'm sure i bought 35 shore, fitted them to my TRF511 too. lee |
Is this a Works '91?
Guys, is this also a Works '91 with some random PCB on the chassis? :o

I would guess earlier, maybe super dog fighter?
That works '91 is bootiful...brings back many happy memories. I loved my yokes back in the day :wub |
Chassis looks like 870c but can't be absolutely sure

Sure, the 870c is an awesome car, I'm always the 94 nut, but yeah, give it a go Dan.

Couldnt resist fitting the wing before i tear it all down for some spit and polish action lol.
Its all it needs TBH, a quick spoodle up, and just the odd part here and there, a nice body from Ken i reckon, and bam. Ill be making a new repro bumper along with all the 94 YZ ones from 3mm Kydex. lee http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps11f2dd69.jpg |
Not much to do now, got my Cobra (Ken Reith) shell today, lovely, just cut it and fits super, two holes are required on the front bullets to clear the bulkhead screws, but its a great body, much better fit than the TBG shells due to the shrinkage they develop.

Lee, hope you are well buddy.
Those two look killer together, any chance of a body off shot with them side by side? I'm no Yoke expert, but only just noticed the change in shock positions! |
Very nice Lee....I could do with a bumper for the 870c will the 94 one fit?

As promised, some nudes! Started on my install for the '91 today, decided to file the battery slots on the outside edge to accept my NIMH cells, came out nice, need to fit a motor, paint the body, were almost there now!
