210 Gear diff oil ?

How do lads,

What oil do you run in a dex210 gear diff on a high grip astro track (bury), and do you go thicker or lighter for low grip tracks?

Thanks in advance

Matt

I run xray 700 oil in my diff for astro i tried it on grippy grass today at hinckley and it wasnt the best i think maybe a ball diff for grass

At Southport 3000wt is popular in the 210

Black grease which I have heard is the same as both 2K and 5K???? :o
Maybe thats got to do with how much you put in?

Id say 2, 3 or 5

Im going to try the ball diff tomorrow on our track

I'm trying 5000 tomorrow at batley last week I had 1000 , I know it's a big jump but I've only had 4 outdoor meetings , so I want a big contrast so I can tell the difference

Do you measure your oil in weight or cst ?
I've just tried Durango Diff oil 50000cst which I think converts to around 2000wt, is that correct? The diff feels like a tight ball diff if that makes sense.

I dont understand why these strong number oils are being used in diffs the whole point of one is to get rid of slip which is the reason you have a ball diff so tight (compared to a touring car) so it dont slip with gears you could run 50 oil with no slip

I think its to slow the diff action so that you don't "diff out" (as easily).

personally stick to ball diff no oil's to worry about then.
