fs2: did anyone try shaved NCG arms?

I know some people shaved a couple of mm's of the front and rear arms of their lazers, but I thought it was in the pre-NCG arms era.

Did anyone already try it in combination with the NCG arms? Was it still an improvement?

I, along with a fair few others, now run the um713 rear arms from the RB6 which allows you to run the car longer than stock.
I believe most people who ran shaved arms where on tight lower grip tracks (USA indoor dirt style mainly) & it was aimed at allowing the car to turn quickly but with a locked in rear for traction.
On European type tracks this isn't an issue, car is pretty well dialled in stock wheelbase / weight distribution.
