Tekin Rx8 problems

Hi all
Running Pro4 4600 motor and RX8 in my SCTE It has run without a glitch for the last 6 months. Racing on Sunday and it only managed a few laps before slowing dramatically as if shutting down on thermal overload. The motor and ESC are cool to touch and the LED's are telling me all OK!
I've tried another battery, checked all the wiring, tried changing the esc settings (more current limit on) and everything else I can think of. The only thing different from last race-I have downloaded and installed the new Vegas software.
Anyone any ideas or come across anything similar?

should try it with the old software again to rule out any software problems. also check the solder on the solder tabs behind the end plate.

Re:

Do you know where I can get a copy of the 223 software? The new one has overwritten the old one on my PC and the Tekin site only seems to have the new one.

I didn't know there was a new software download available!! What is the advantage over 223??

The 224software is mostly for the New gen2 stuff but allegedly offers better performance for the RX8 and RS/RSPRO-or not in my case!!!!!

..... are the older versions not available when you have the Hotwire connected to your speedo .... I'm sure they are on mine.

The previous versions of Hotwire f/w including ESC software is available on the Tekin website, from the homepage left hand panel under 'software' .... 'hotwire'.... several there...

Just realised thats a list not the actual software .... i have the 8.4.1. .exe on my laptop its about 6Mb tho..... don't think i can e-mail it ...

The old 223 has disappeared from the list on the Hotwire interface- now only shows 224 in the list on the right of the panel

I can not find it sorry

what I have done is installed the new version and it works with the 223

if you plug it all in again and then click on advanced there should be options for esc versions.... can you flash it to the 224 or 223?

give that a try first and let us know how you get on pls m8

the 238 is for other esc's not the rx8
