Xcelorin Speed Control Braking

Hi all,

for those who have and run one, has anyone noticed their brakes stop working at low speeds?

My brakes are fine for most speeds, then just cut off at really low speeds. Makes it quite difficult to stop the car for the person picking it up after the race :woot:

If anyone doesn't get this issue, then feel free to post their complete setups/profiles....

Cheers,

Stanners (legend)

So, nobody at all, at any point, has had any issues with this speedo? :eh?:

STAN: Mine seems to have slightly inconsistant brakes but I wouldn't say I've had the problem you are getting.

I might be tempted to go back to factory settings and start again.

I don't think I have changed the braking at all from the factory setting.

What drag brake and minimum brake settings you using?

Are you setting from PC or quick card?

beleive me, i have tried everything on it, and the brakes still just stop working at very low speeds.

perhaps you guys can give me your settings...?

Also, for the guys running them. The manual states that if you run the acceleration at high, then you might notice the speedo cutting out, or glitching. i had this issue at the weekend, but it stopped when i went back to medium setting

Does your can now have a tendancy to be a rocket on the straight and drive through people and fall over at corners?

Does it have the blame deflector set to 10 also?

I used the speedo for the last 2 meetings and the only problems I had was at the end of Round 4 and the end of the 'D' Final at the weekend where it cut out on the straight.

I'll try the accelation down to medium as Stan suggests as it is set as high as i like quick response!!!

it says in the manual about it mate, i only read it last night. My initial thought was 'why provide a setting that they know causes issues in the first place?'

my second thought was lesbian related :woot:

Mine doesnt work either

Took my car out for its first meeting for ages..first with new excelerion. Under starters orders...offlike a rocket..to the straight then nowt..sensibly pinned the throttle..nowt then zoom....limp limp zoom then stop nowt, before a slow limp mode. Throught it was possibly a Rx Tx thing..checked and fine. Tried again, half a lap before limp mode. Now its been sent back, obviously cutting out for some reason. Some faulty ut off or other. Was set in the modified mode on the pre sets, no pc or card just the fast mode with 100% throttle and loads of drag brake.
Still p'd off as i cannot race this weekend.

On a positive note DMS were great, lets hope there is a quick turn around at other end!!
Still wondering about the rx/tx. Shall i get a cheap replacement...acoms or futaba jobby..or save for a gemini 2 or pricier futaba?
