Thinking about getting back into nitro
Hey guys,
It's been a while since I've owned a nitro rc, and I've owned many. I moved on to brushless a few years back but have been somewhat out of rc for the past year. I'm thinking about getting back into it. Basically, what I'm looking for is a cheap UN-ASSEMBLED buggy/truggy. I don't want a RTR as I'd love to put it together myself. However, this is pretty much all I've found: http://www.modelsport.co.uk/ansmann-...roducts/370667 Correct me if I'm wrong but Ansmann never screamed quality to me, maybe they've changed? Are there any better options for me? Also, if I went with the Ansmann, what engine should I get for it? There are so many .21s to choose from. Or should I just stick with it's stock engine? http://www.modelsport.co.uk/ansmann-...roducts/372166 Hobbyking have one option but thats as much as I could find. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...arehouse_.html Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated! Cheers |
The hobbyking one looks better than the ansmann if im honest parts may be a issue though if it was my money i would get a losi or xray
But still the losi 8 2.0 rtr is well worth the money |
Yes id stay well away from ansman and there egg shape spur gears !

As for engine get a name you can trust Alpha Rb Bullit Nova rossi O.s Orion Nosram/lrp I would personally buy something over 150 unless on a specail offer or something even if for piece of mind I luckily picked a brand new still sealed rb c6 usa for 200 should be 300 really when they were new other wise i would have brought a ryan lutz alpha engine |
