DIMEC chassis (Spec B)

So just going to order a spare Dimec from MB and find they only seem to be showing the Dimec20 (TD320220) no sign of the 'flexy' Dimec I'm after..<edit> did find one in the end.

Go to the team Durango site instead and they are showing the Dimec (TD320163) required but also 'Coming Soon' DIMEC CHASSIS DEX 210 (+8mm) (Spec B) (TD320229)

Anyone know what a Spec B is? Is it worth waiting for?

<edit> Went to the Durango website today and the Spec B chassis has been removed.... very strange.....

Spec B is the updated chassis that solves the breakage issues.

Looks like someone at Durango accidently posted them too early then!

I guess they are going to wait for the old ones to sell out before they advertise the spec b.

AfroP 18-04-2013 10:37 PM

would explain the price drop in the rtr kits

maineyak 18-04-2013 10:52 PM

Good point Afro!

Wonder how long it will be before the Spec b will be available???

I just hope they have allowed for running of zero degrees anti squat and some rear droop this time without having to hack chunks of the chassis away

????

How do you mean I've no problem with anti squat or droop on the DIMEC

are you running zero degrees anti squat? And also have you not noticed a reduced amount of droop with the plastic chassis compared to the std one?

I'd imagine they need to burn through the RTR stock first before they launch a new chassis to everybody that just bought a new car.

Would the truck chassis (210R) be suitable for the buggy? Its longer and also guess a new shell would be needed due to that?

Also does it make the car more stable and easier to drive?

Are there any other bodies that fit the dimec chassis other than durango one? Will the Punnisher fit?

slippy 10-06-2013 10:09 AM

I think the punisher is for the 410 the finisher is for the 210 then theres the pulse rc shell.

Bigbaddave 10-06-2013 11:09 AM

Ah ok cheers, so the finisher will fit the dimec chassis?

slippy 10-06-2013 02:07 PM

Yes it will as I wasn't sure either with the dimec being slightly different but I took the gamble a couple of weeks ago bought m b models last one and yes its good to go.:)

Check out the Rc Penguin shells on the bay,I've got one on my 210 and it looks superb:thumbsup:

They do a few different designs aswell.
Only about £12 plus postage.
