Just remind me why we call it a "Summer Series"...? Bloomin' weather!

Should be called "English Summer" series! - still got 3 rounds and a final in tonight

cunawarit 10-05-2013 11:34 PM

Can't say that I felt like standing on a wet field tonight. Plus my wet weather machine (Traxxas) is lacking some front tyres.

So whilst you were all racing on wet grass, getting your buggy filthy I drifted a TL01 in my living room.

Jolly good show chaps. An English Summer Series - hoorah! A galss of Pimms and some strawberries & cream at the start of each round, with some cricket in between. Spiffing, what?

How about a Battle of Britain fly-past at the end of the series. Rule Brittania! God Save the Queen!

With more races like yesterday's I'd be tempted to take up RC planes again. There's less mud involved. I've just hosed down the Losi...

after 3 weeks of racing in the mud and rain ive given up cleaning my car, just leave it to dry out then take it for a bit of a play on a dry day and it cleans its self......kinda lol. the weather has to get better sooner rather then later and hopefully more drivers will turn up to race

There seems to be a strange yellow thing in the sky today. Will racing be on?

cunawarit 05-07-2013 11:57 AM

I would, but I'm afraid it is an alien mother-ship and we'll all get kidnapped...

Anyway, lipos charging right now :) Will be there aliens or not.

Really enjoyed the last round guys! Being behind Martin by .002 of a second in terms of fastest lap during one race and then .002 of a second in front of him in another race was fun! Closest racing I've ever had :) Sadly my Bandit had lost its edge by the final :(

See ya all in a month's time :)

Summer season is over :(

but we have 2wd winner.. Mark Rowbottom

This summer saw the closest finish i can remember in 2wd both Martin Smith and Mark Rowbottom finishing on equal points and the winner only being decided on the final night, after round countback being required.

Mark Rowbottom - Team C Tc02
Martin Smith - Team C Tc02C
Zak Rich - Team Associated B4

In 4wd it was mostly a 2 horse race but with some close racing

John Murphy - Team C T4Te
Dave Dodd - Team C Tc04

A Big well done and thank you, to all that attended this summer.

Cheers Dave

ps. Pre Booking is open for the 1st round of winter season indoors at Bridgford school - clicky here to pre book
