Video is pretty impressive, but where has all the grass gone?

On a more serious note what time are the gates going to be opening for the regional and what are the pitting arrangements? If the regional gets similar numbers to Eastrax and as per last year we didn't all manage to get indoors and the track now seems to be on the flat area where a number of us pitted last year.

Yes the grass has taken a hammering, however a delivery of AstroTurf is imminent :thumbsup:

Times will be posted nearer to the meeting.

There is plenty of space behind the table top jump and adjacent to the bulidings for pitting. This does mean the main car park as you come through the gate will be the only parking space available.
The majority of indoor pitting is reserved for Coastal members so there will be limited spaces available.

Schumacher full spikes all round or some of those sand paddle types will do the job !! if all else fails try the tried and tested "Mick Spindles tyres" ..... drawing pins pushed through the rubber , work a treat on all surfaces !!!

Does this mean that the whole track wil be covered in astro for the regional or just part of it?

Just trying to decide what tyres to order in advance.

I was thinking more along the lines of Proline Step-pins or losi studs with ribs up front.

Depends on how much astro goes down, if it's all astro'd then it's easy if it's 50/50 then god only knows!!

Ive found yellow schu minispikes to be best. Yorkie found bb greens a bit better. Said they were more chuckable. I dont think there will be a lot to be gained with anything else to be honest. You will gain a lot more by having a clean and tidy run.

The track remains very consistant throughout the day. My times got slightly quicker with every run last time out.

We are planning to get the straight astroturfed first(fingers crossed) so this shouldnt affect tyre choices to much. Any extras will be a bonus but i doubt we willget more than the straight done.

Yep as George says, we would like to get the main straight done before the regional, but we want to make sure as we lay the astro that it is laid correctly, so we will not rush it.

Will you be doing any track building days George in the run up to the regional ? If we have a good turnout of people to help we could get more done ! I've got a bit of free time to help out , and now the evenings are getting lighter it's more "doable" !! Is there enough astro to cover everywhere? Or is that also a restricting factor ?
