hi guys im looking for a manual for this esc if anyone can link me to 1 please? i got mine today from hobbyking but no manual.

i found 1 link but my laptop recons it contains a virus so wont let me open it so any help would be appreciated.

anyone?

B****r it - just bought the program box, only £10 extra!

if you go to global wharehouse then the esc then go down to files on the tabs
you'll find some info,mainly calibration,a bit more on the update file
basically you need the programme box to do anything like turn off reverse etc
there back in stock at the moment and for the price a bargain allround

Yeah, had a look at all of that and was able to calibrate the esc. I tried looking at the files for the 60 and 80A models but nothing. I shouldn't complain as i've got a brand new 120A esc and program box for £40!

These esc suffur from a hasardoes problem!

When for whatever reason, the wheels turn, this send a signial via the sensorcable to the esc which in return responds by ordering full throttle!

Seen this problem on about 4 cars using different motors and transmitter combo's.

In short, I think these esc are only safe to be used sensorless.

But don't just take my word for it, test it yourselves and post your findings.

yep a good deal for sure,had mine for a few weeks now and works really well
in my truck, really smooth on the throttle with a sensor cable aswell

I've not had that experience either. My lads is perfect, its only running a 17.5 but several people at our local club run them on much hotter motors (6.5 - 5.5 in 4WD's) and not only are they fast but they stay fairly cool.

The only strange thing I've ever seen is a friend last week had his stop mid run with a red flashing led, he switched it off and back on and it was faultless for the rest of the evening.

As has been said, it would be great if they produced decent instructions but for 30 quid, plus a tenner for the box? Not bad value is it.

I've ordered one to try, then keep as a spare. At that money I can justify having it sat in a box just in case, I couldn't a £150ish unit. I assume it won't be as good as a branded unit but if it lets me finish a meeting should the worst happen, I'll be happy. When I've run it I'll report back.

Nice thread there, with the calibration explained in detail.

Also states that the speedo won't work sensorless, and just checked that, it seems to be the case, yes.

Anyone using this ESC?
Which lights are on in neutral position?
In my ESC the left one (red I think) is fixed and the the middle light is blinking,is this normal?
Also it doesn`t brake almost nothing.
Can anyone help?

Superjaicon, read the link above and it tells you what lights are what in the opening posts.

I have 2 of these with a 6.5t motor in 4wd Durango's , they have ran brilliantly on standard settings and had no issues with them whatsoever.Can keep up with most things and for the money you cant go wrong.You do need the programme box to get rid of reverse or alter any settings. Will definitely get another IF anything goes wrong with the current ones.
