SORC 2013 Series Round 1

Round 1 will be hosted by DDRCC at NORA on 21st April.

The long range weather forecast suggests temperatures will be milder which will be good.

Remember to send in your entries via the system shown on www.sorcinfo.org

Entries on the day will need to show their BRCA cards or join if not able to show they are a member for 2013.

Remembers to gain a BRCA licence grade from the Scottish Regionals you need to take part in the series throughout the year, you will also qualify for the BRCA end of season regionals at the end of the year. This was a great meeting last year at Southport with the number of people wanting to take part exceeding our allocation.

The sorcinfo.org website is down just now as it transfers to the new server, will let you know when it's back up so you can enter for the 2013 series.

www.sorcinfo.org is now backup and working after transferring to it's new server.

Still can't decide whether to invite the stress of both classes on an day, or stick with 2WD only... Better get myself entered!!

Not long now

The more people that race in both classes, the more heats there are, and therefore more time to prepare cars etc. We certainly won't be rushing each round, we're out for a days racing so no point getting home to early.

Oh, absolutely agreed. I can do the maths and happy to see artificial addition of time between rounds if small attendance makes it necessary.

For me it's more simply that I haven't raced both classes same day 'seriously' before. New experiences and all that :)

It's not that bad Jason. So long as you don't break nothing......

Cheers, Dave. Think I'll give it a shot! 2x the driving = better VFM out the day too I guess.

Really looking forward to this, I can't find the online booking thing at the moment so it looks like my dad (new racer for this season) and I gonna have to book in tomorrow morning.

I think for next year I would like to see the introduction of super pole at round one of the championship.
That way it sorts out the heats sensibly and seeds everyone accordingly.
The heats were a real mix of ability on Sunday which is always a problem.

Mr Eccleston 23-04-2013 04:04 PM

Kenny, email your idea to [email protected] for inclusion in the AGM. Remember the heats at round 1 are currently created from how everyone did over the entire series last year.
