TOMTOM help...
 

i been installing new voices on my tom tom and one time, i turned it back on and now it gets stuck on load screen......

i been on tom tom website n tried what they said but still no joy....

anyone had this problem?:thumbdown:

sounds like you might have to reset your TomTom dude ...
it doesnt effect any data so should be ok ..

reset how?

what model you got ??

Remove new voices.
Reset is a small hole underneath
You can only copy new voices to your TomTom by Copy/Paste in the voices folder.
Any otherway it all goes to pot.

turn on the tomtom and push the reset button for 15 seconds.
press the On/off button for at least 5 seconds.

Can you remove the memory card.
If so open it on your computer and try to find the new voices remove them.
No memory card try to reset with TomTom home.
Did you create a backup in TomTom home.

tried that wragg.....

tomtom one V3 does not have a memory card slot...

tried to backup on tomtom home and would not let me do it....

removed voices still having problem...

just rang tomtom said they will send me a email that may help....:cry::thumbdown::cry:

Im scared to update mine now, has anyone had similar problems with uploading maps and stuff :confused: (mine is the 730)

Ive updated mine, added voices, uploaded/downloaded maps, changed intro and outro screens. No problem. Mine is the Tom Tom Go XL WE.

Yours sounds knackered, just get on the M6 then ring someone who is already there before you get to Scotland.

one of the things i D/L fromm the tomtom website belive it or not corrupted a load of files on my tom tom... its a mission but i have managed to format it and is now reloading stuff bk on
