Xray XB4 rims on a 410
 

Has any tried it? Are the offsets the same?

Im just wondering as a LHS has a xray rim pack 10 for £19 thought it might do me well for the outdoor season

The axle size on the xray is thicker than the durango.
so unless you can find a way to fill the extra space the wheels wont fit
they are however the same hex size.

Will you even need to fill the space in ?
As long as the hexes are the same size how can the wheel flop around ?

Ahh thats right the hole is a different size. But will it wobbly that much when the nut is on?

If its needed then maybe the 210 layshaft cut down will fit the axel or the inside ring of a bearing.

Geez why not just buy proper rims for the brand, that all seems so hard... :)

The choice of rims for the Durango cars are crap....you got solid wheel or solid wheels...oh sorry black white or yellow :)

I wanted to fit my Hpi five spoke rims off my old kyosho lazer zxr but would need to machine 12mm hexes etc etc too much hassle.


Durango really need to see there is a market for some trick wheels, why they don't capitalise on it is anyone's guess

I run XB4 rims on my 210 with no trouble at all. As said here, the hex is the same and the nut secures it to the hex. They are perfectly fine. :thumbsup::thumbsup:

I have those things lying around and there is a hobbyshop doing a good package deal on XB4 rims and what with the Nordics coming up Ill need a few sets to go practicing

Ok, so there is a difference in hole size? Perhaps you can fill up the gap with Polymorph? :eh?:

Polymorph is a biodegradable plastic with nylon-like strength and flexibility that becomes completely malluable at 60 degrees (centigrade, of course :p).

You can just heat the polymorph granulate up in hot water, take it out, smear some of it over the driveshaft and mount the wheel on (make sure it's centered nicely).

When it's cooled off, take the wheel off and possibly remove some excess material that ended up between the hex and wheel. Job done!

This is all theory though... Polymorph is great stuff but I've never tried to fill small gaps with it. It might just be worth a shot though. If it doesn't work all it takes is hot water to get it off again anyway :)
