Big bore piston what way up ?
Hi all I have a cat sx3 and would like to no the best way to put my pistons in they are tapered ones I won't fast compreshion but slow rebound so wot way should I have the pistons tapper facing up our down ?

The typical way to run a taper piston is so that the compression is normal speed, but the rebound is quicker - thus enabling the car to settle more quickly between bumps and after landings. Therefore the 'tapered' side of the piston would want to point downwards - into the shock body.

Yokomo runs the front pistons taper up seems to work

Yes the yokomo dose and it works very well I have set my cat up the same as I have a bmx2 mr but I wasn't shoure on what way dose wot . my thinking was that if the shock can compres fast but rebound slower it can sock up the bumps and not spring back and make the car bounce

i found on high grip it made the cat unstable under braking tho
